Happy new year to all! May the new year be a prosperous 1 to all out there.
Ok..it has been a rather eventful few days. With the unhappy incidents all hailing from our beloved hellgate. There is this certain character inside the hell we all come from who has not only stepped on my tail but topped his "piss-me-off" endeavours with some vicious trampling.
Uneducated? Check
Barbaric? Check
Uncouth? Check
Poodle's name? Check
Vicious? I should think not. Its such atrocious abuse of authority that has led to so many negative experiences within. I'm well aware of my duties and I assume my role dutifully. Yet im constantly haunted by these savage hunters of dignity and it has all led me down the road of deceit, hatred and what nots. Enclosed in this facade, I know my patience is running thin but its 9 months more. Endure and paradise awaits.

Last week was the MOE Teaching Seminar. The salary and benefits, though improved, are not really the drawing points for me. The videos really struck a chord with me. I know what I want, and its not money. Its my desire to make a difference to the lives of many people and I believe through education, I can secure the future that I project for my grandchildren and my descendents.
I know the road is fraught with difficulties. Just as the MOE scholarship interview had me crashing to reality, I do realise my many shortcomings. I imagine engaging my students in creative learning, having fun yet absorbing as much knowledge as possible. Yet when I look at my brother, Im at a loss as to how to convey the vault of knowledge ive stored since pri 1 to him. However im excited at the prospect of realising my vision and dream. The icing on the cake is that baby also is bent on entering this profession. I cant wait! :)

Kung Fu dunk!

Jay Chou and his kung fu tou fu! This guy is unreal man! Any role cannot faze him. Any genre, any song, any role...he juggles it all like a seasoned pro. He is "diao" yet also hilarious with his hair n antics. He epitomises success through hard work. Why do I idolise Jay? He is no genius. His achievements are merely the result of gallons of sweat, towering ambitions and a willingness to learn from geniuses like Vincent Fang, Zhang Yimouu, LeeHom etc. I aspire to achieve success in my own endeavours thru the jay way. Watch "Dunk" and celebrate this gem of a celebrity!
