When such scenes of pure jubilation erupts in full force in the presence of the figureheads of our city, you know something huge has happened. I happened to catch this news on my way to ktv last night and somehow, even though I didn't play any part in the bed, I felt a rush of pride to my head when the Olympics committee president flipped over the results slip. Its a great feeling to know that we can achieve so much despite our size against an overwhelming favourite in Moscow.

The euphoria at the Padang is reminiscent of our NDP celebrations. Celebrations well earned and my alma mater JJC was involved too! The involved can carry on celebrating while the rest can walk with our heads held high for being a citizen of this country that dared to dream, worked for the dream and yesterday evening, realised the dream.
