So eventually my team managed a meagre 4th spot for the cohesion soccer tournament which wasn't really our expected performance as we were considered overwhelming favourites to win. Anyway my mind has pretty much been preoccupied by thoughts of the imminent separation from my current mates and a totally new job scope. Sighs...but as the saying goes: The only constant in the world is change.
Rented both deathnote movies yesterday and I must say I'm now a fan. Its really awesome watching the battle of wits between the two geniuses which are L and Light. Their every manoeuvre, plot and schemes being thwarted by each other, the movie is actually one intriguing chess match between two highly accomplished players. Eventually the game was a draw for both met their ends. It certainly got me hooked for the entire night and I would definitely recommend those who have yet watched the films. If you look deeper into the films, you realise the non-existent division between good and evil and that evil actually is a matter of perception. Light appears evil but in truth he is just firm with his belief in creating a world free of crime but in doing so he murdered. Its a little philosophical but I guess the show did provide me with some insight into the world as it is. Light is a terrorist and L is the anti party. The show portrays very well what might eventually happen to all of us in the future. The war against terrorism might end but the belief will always be present, just like what Light said at his death, which underlined his staunch determination to stick to his belief even to the death.
Anyway congratualtions to all who did well for the A Levels!
